What about the future?

“We are really excited about the opportunities opening up with IR2008 data and recently had a vote to make the additional investment in data heads. We have been so impressed with Taxi! that the vote to move up to full data was 100% unanimous!”

What would you say to other companies?

“ I would say without a doubt, Taxi! is the way to go. Our operators have been in the trade a long time and have used various booking systems over the years. Everyone here reckons that Taxi! is the best and easiest to use by far. Our drivers have seen their takings go up and the support is brilliant.”

Blacktax were the first Taxi! customer and, like many of our customers, have had a considerable say in the design of the software. Office manager Graham Smith spoke to us about their experience.

Why did you chose Taxi! ?

“When we initially decided to computerise we looked at many rival systems and felt that they were all written from a programmers point of view, rather than from an operators point of view. Many of then systems failed to make use of the built in radio facilities, but the people behind Taxi! knew radio signalling inside out.”

How has Taxi! helped you?

“With voice peg & board plotting we were struggling. Taxi! makes use of the built in 5-tone SelCall signalling in our existing radios like no other system - we plot, enquire, even send out house numbers without needing voice, which all cuts the workload in the office, and leaves the channel available more of the time. We have seen a sustained ongoing increase in our job count with a more relaxed and happy environment.”
